If you have your story or manuscript written and ready to go for your children's book project. Now is the time to look for illustrations and discovering what style fits your story.

Half Page

An illustration that covers the top or bottom half of a page.
Spread
$150 Per Page
An illustration that spreads across two pages.
Single Page
$110 Per Page
An illustration covering a whole page.

$120 - Reusing Art
$180 - New Art
An illustration that spreads from the front to back cover of a book.
The different illustration types is excellent in giving you idea of what your potential cost for your book could be. Other factors will come in to play such as designing any of your major characters, laying out your book, doing initial rough sketches, the number of pages and possibly doing your book layout for independent publishing.
